Turkish Airlines Advisory: Updated Temporary Travel Restrictions for Outbound and Inbound Passengers

We would like to share with you below updated information from IATF regarding temporary Departure Travel Restrictions and Arrival Travel Restrictions for your reference.

A. The decisions of the IATF Technical Working Group are ratified, the specifics of which are as follows:

1. Beginning 01 November 2020, the following foreign nationals may be allowed entry into the Philippines:

a. Those with visas issued by the Bureau of Immigration pursuant to EO No. 226 or the Omnibus Investments Code, as amended, and Republic Act No.8756;
b. Those with 47(a) (2) visas issued by the Department of Justice; and
c. Those with visas issued by Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority, and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

 

In all of the foregoing, the entry shall be subject to the following conditions:

a. Must have valid and existing visa at the time of entry;
b. With pre-booked accredited quarantine facility;
c. Subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry; and
d. Without prejudice to applicable immigration laws, rules and regulations.

 

The Bureau of Immigration shall make the necessary coordination with the airlines for the proper implementation of the foregoing.

 

2. The pre-boarding testing requirement for outbound Filipino travelers pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 79 is hereby lifted. For this purpose, Section [7], Paragraph (2) of the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines, as amended, is hereby further amended, to wit:

 

c.) OFWs, students enrolled abroad and participants accepted in exchange visitor programs, permanent residents of foreign jurisdictions, and foreign nationals, may leave for abroad through any of the airports or seaports in the country;

d.) Outbound travel of Filipinos, regardless of purpose, may be allowed subject to compliance with the following requirements:
i. For those travelling on tourist or short-term/ visitor visas, submission of confirmed round-trip tickets and adequate travel and health insurance to cover travel disruptions and hospitalization in case of COVID-19 infections during their allowable period of stay abroad;
ii. Execution of a Bureau of Immigration Declaration acknowledging the risks involved in travelling, including risk of delay in their return trip, to be provided at the check-in counters by the airlines;

iii. Whenever required by the country of destination or the airline, a negative COVID-19 test taken in accordance with the health and safety protocols of such destination country or airline; and
iv. Upon return, they shall follow the Guidelines of the National Task Force (NTF) for Returning Overseas Filipinos;

Note: Please be guided accordingly that Antigen test has been removed from the requirements for non-essential travel. COVID-19 test will be required in accordance to the regulations of the country of destination.
For BI Declaration, a copy is provided upon check in for non-essential purpose of travel.
