Singapore Airlines Advisory: Integration of SilkAir into Singapore Airlines

For over 30 years, SilkAir has been the regional wing of Singapore Airlines (SIA), flying to over 40 destinations in Asia Pacific and favored for its friendly service and promise to make every journey a joy to fly. In November 2018, the integration of SilkAir into SIA was announced, with the promise of offering a world-class experience for our customers, no matter how short their journeys.

SIA will commence operations to Phuket from 4 March 2021. More SilkAir routes will be progressively transferred to SIA over the course of the 2021/22 financial year, and SIA will also begin 737-800 NG operations to Brunei, in March 2021. Further details can be found here.

With this integration, SIA outlines its commitment to review and step up its products and services to meet the new needs in the new world of air travel. Passengers can look forward to the following:

  1. A familiar new look: SilkAir’s 9 Boeing 737-800 aircrafts will progressively join the SIA fleet with freshly painted livery, along with newly upholstered seats for Business Class (12 seats) and Economy Class (150 seats).

  1. Your favorite inflight dining experience: Meals collaborated with our catering partner, SATS, will feature a variety of 40 newly-created dishes on rotation, all served in sustainable tableware. More details can be found here.
