The Philippines’ National Task Force against COVID-19 announced last 18 March 2021, the directives under Memorandum Circular No. 5 that the Philippines will suspend the entry of foreign nationals in light of efforts to prevent the entry of SAR-CoV-2 variants from other countries and the further rise of cases beginning 0001H March 22 until 2359H April 21, 2021.
Allowed to travel to the Philippines :
- All Filipino citizens weather a returning Overseas Filipino or Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) shall be allowed to return to the Philippines
- Diplomats and members of international organizations, and their dependents provided they hold a valid 9 (e) visa or 42(a)(2) visa
- Medical repatriation and their escort/s duly endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs or the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration
- Foreign seafarers under the “Green Lanes” program for crew change provided that they hold 9(c) crew list visa
- Foreign spouses and children of Filipino citizens travelling with them provided they have valid visa
- Emergency, humanitarian and other analogous cases approved by the NTF COVID-19
