Cathay Pacific Advisory: Designated Quarantine Hotels & [Updated] Additional Requirements Travelling to HKG

To further reduce the chance of cross-infection between guests undergoing quarantine and other local guests, with effect from 21 Dec, 00:00 HKT, the HKG government will implement a new measure to mandate all travellers arriving in Hong Kong from all countries except Chinese mainland (Mainland, Taiwan & Macau) to undergo 14-day compulsory quarantine at designated quarantine hotels, handlings change as follows:

 

  • Pax must hold 14 nights of hotel booking in designated hotel only
  • Take the point-to-point transportation (from airport to hotel) provided by the government

 

 

As of today, total 36 hotels are designated by HKG government, the list is only the latest list but will update from time to time in the .  Hence, please refer to the website for the latest.

 

 

The hotel list is available at: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/designated-hotel-list.html and airport teams must make use of this website to check the latest list of designated hotels against with customers’ hotel bookings.  If customers fail to present the hotel confirmation in a designated quarantine hotel, DO NOT accept.

For passengers arriving on 21 Dec or before, they can still stay in other licensed hotels until the entire 14 nights of quarantine period is completed.

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE

 

If customers arrive in Hong Kong on 21 Dec but only manage to arrive at hotel after deadline (22 Dec, 00:00 HKT) due to various reasons (e.g. waiting for testing results and transportation arrangement), they will not be able to check in at a non-designated hotel. Customers are strongly advised to rearrange the hotel reservation in designated quarantine hotel as early as possible.
