Asiana Airlines Advisory: NOTICE OF CHANGES RELATED TO SUBMITTING PCR TEST RESULTS

Please be informed of the changes regarding the submission of Negative RT-PCR Test Result in connection with the directive of Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) to all foreign passengers heading to South Korea.

 

PCR TEST Existing Change Example Date of Enforcement
PCR Negative Certification Validity 48-hour validity from 0:00 a.m. the departure date of an aircraft or vessel 72-hour validity from 0:00 a.m. the departure date of an aircraft or vessel When boarding an airplane departing on January 8th at 23:00 p.m., it is accepted if it is issued between 0:00 a.m. of January 5th and 23:00 p.m. of January 8th. Applicable to aircraft departing after 0:00 a.m. of January 8th;
  Vessels are applicable to those departing after 0:00 a.m. on January 15th.

 

 

Exemptions: 
– All passengers transferring/transiting from the airport without entering Korean immigration are exempted from submitting PCR Negative certification. 
*Negative COVID-19 test should still be prepared if required by the country of destination 
 
Remarks: 
– All passengers (Korean/Foreign nationals) departing from the UK/Republic of South Africa and arriving at Korea must submit a negative RT-PCR test result.
