
Who Can Enter Japan and What Do They Need

Find out which types of passengers are allowed entry in Japan and all the documents they need so that you can prepare your passengers well before their travel.

Passenger 1: Japanese nationals
Japanese nationals are not required to present any additional document upon entering Japan.
Make sure that the passengers have no pending obligations with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration to avoid any inconvenience during their departure.

Passenger 2: Foreign national with residency status and valid re-entry permit
From November 1, 2020, foreign nationals holding residency status in Japan with a valid re-entry permit need to present the following documents upon entry in Japan:

Passenger 3: Foreign national with new visa with residence status
From October 1, 2020, foreign nationals holding new visa with status of residence of “Student,” “Dependent,” among others, are required to present the following documents upon entering Japan:

Passenger 5: Temporary Visitor in Japan
Foreign (non-Japanese) nationals who have stayed in the Philippines within 14 days prior to their arrival in Japan are subject to denial of entry (unless there are special circumstances).
Likewise, the validity of single and multiple entry visas issued by the Japanese Embassies and Consulates General in the Philippines by March 27, 2020 remains suspended until further notice. The same applies to passengers from the Philippines holding APEC Business Travel Cards.

Passengers are required to wear face mask and face shield in NAIA Terminal 3.
Passengers are also encouraged to check in online 24 hours up to 75 minutes before their flight for a faster check in experience.
Arrival in Japan
All passengers entering Japan are subject to COVID-19 testing and 14-day quarantine at home or at a location designated by the quarantine station chief. During this period, they are prohibited from using public transport (ex. domestic flights, buses, trains, taxis, etc).
Questionnaires for Passengers Entering Japan through Haneda
Starting November 18, 2020, passengers entering Japan via Haneda International Airport must answer an Online Questionnaire.
Passengers may access the questionnaire at https://arqs-qa.followup.mhlw. go.jp/#/
Once completed, they will receive a QR code to be presented along with their passport upon entering Japan.
Passengers Transiting Through Japan to a Third Country
Passengers transiting only through Tokyo (Narita and Haneda) are not required to undergo any of the quarantine measures required by the Government of Japan.
ANA flies to Tokyo 10 times weekly (5 times weekly to Narita and 5 times weekly to Haneda) with below flight schedules and classes of service:
