In compliance with Philippine regulations and in response to the development of the new COVID-19 strain, travelers, except Filipino nationals, departing from or who have been to the following countries in the past 14 days before scheduled arrival are NOT ALLOWED to enter the Philippines on December 30, 2020 to January 15, 2021:

Filipino nationals departing from or who have been to these countries in the past 14 days before scheduled arrival are allowed to enter the Philippines, but must take an RT-PCR Test upon arrival to be administered by the Philippine Red Cross and Philippine Coast Guard. For land-based OFWs, you must also create/update your account on the OFW Assistance Information System (OASIS) at http://oasis.owwa.gov.ph/
You will be assigned and must remain at an accredited quarantine facility or hotel for 14 days, as required and shouldered by the Philippine government. You may also make reservations at your chosen accredited hotel for the duration of 14 days at your own expense, including transfer costs from the airport to the hotel. The accredited hotel must be suitable for stringent quarantine, which you can view at https://bit.ly/MNLHotels-1221.
If you are only transiting through the listed countries, you must undergo hotel quarantine until you receive your negative RT-PCR Test result. Except for OFWs, you must arrange ang shoulder your hotel quarantine stay. Transiting passengers are defined as those who have been to the airport the whole time and have not been cleared entry to the countries above by its immigration authorities.

Passengers who will not be able to enter the Philippines because of this restriction may:
- Rebook at a later date without fees. Request must be made at least 24 hours before original flight date to avoid no show fees. Please take note that the quarantine protocols for these destinations may be extended even after January 15, 2021, depending on the developing situation of the new COVID-19 strain and upcoming regulations by the Philippine government.
- Convert the unused value of the ticket to a travel voucher, for purchase of PAL tickets and Travel Extras at a future date.
- Request for refund of unused value of your ticket with refund fees waived.

- Who are allowed to enter the Philippines during the travel ban on these countries?
Only Filipino nationals, originating from or who have been to the specified countries in the past 14 days before scheduled arrival are allowed entry to the Philippines. They shall take an RT-PCR Test upon arrival and undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine at a facility assigned by the Philippine government; or, an accredited hotel of their own choosing and account. The hotel must be suitable for stringent quarantine.
Countries not part of the listed 21 shall observe existing eligibility rules and arrival and quarantine protocols set by the Philippine IATF-EID.
- Do I need to pre-register before my flight?
Yes, as early as 3 days prior to your departure, register and accomplish the Electronic Case Investigation Form and save the confirmation e-mail and QR code at https://bit.ly/MNLPHRedCrosseCIF

- Which hotel will I be staying at?
The hotel you will be staying at will be assigned to you upon arrival due to room availability; you may be assigned at the following quarantine facilities/hotels:
o NCR: Nice Hotel Monumento, Chill Hotel Monumento, Nice Hotel Arayat, Nice Hotel Mac Arthur
o Region IV-A: Canyon Woods, Canyon Cove, Chateau Royal, Summit Ridge
o Region 3: Apollonia Hotel
If you do not wish to stay at your assigned hotel, you can choose your own accredited hotel suitable for stringent quarantine and at your own expense, including your transportation from the airport to the hotel. - Who will shoulder the costs for testing and hotel fees?
The test and hotel fees will be shouldered by the Philippine government. If you choose to stay at your preferred hotel, accommodation and transportation fees shall be at your own expense.
- Will there be free food during my stay at the hotel?
The food will be shouldered by the government during the 14-day quarantine stay, except if you book your own accredited hotel.
- How long should I wait in the accredited hotel before I can check out?
All travelers who originated from the listed countries must complete the 14-day mandatory quarantine at the hotel, even with negative results released earlier than 14 days. Those who only transited through the listed countries may check out from their hotel once negative RT-PCR Test results are obtained, and shall complete their 14-day quarantine at home.
- Will there be transportation provided to and from the hotel?
Transportation will be arranged and shouldered by the Philippine Government except if you choose to stay at your preferred hotel. Transportation arrangements and expenses will be on your own account.
- What will happen if the test results come out as positive?
Travelers whose test results are positive will be transferred to a designated hospital for further medical management.
