Cathay Pacific, in partnership with AXA General Insurance Hong Kong Limited, is pleased to announce that all passengers travelling with Cathay Pacific, from 7 December, will be provided with free COVID-19 insurance coverage.

 

 

 

Travelers will be covered for medical expenses related to a COVID-19 diagnosis, incurred whilst travelling. Coverage is valid for 30 days, from the date of departure, or until return to their home, whichever is earliest.

 

 

 

Cathay Pacific’s free COVID-19 insurance is automatically applied – all travelers have to do is book their flights. Offer is valid until 28 February 2021.

 

 

 

This insurance protection includes:

Medical and hospitalization

•       We will cover travelers’ COVID-19 PCR tests and hospitalization, if it becomes necessary

•       Coverage for medical expenses related to COVID-19 extends to up to US$200,000

Quarantine costs

•       US$100 per day per passenger for up to 14 days due to COVID-19

Evacuation and repatriation

•       Cathay Pacific will ensure that affected travelers, as well as their travel companions and any children they may be travelling with, get home.
